Clifford Ray “Hippy” Marks, 73, passed away March 17, 2021. He was born March 2, 1948, to the late William and Gladys Lawler Marks.
Hippy worked in the coal mine for many years at Humphry No. 7. In his free time, Hippy loved playing music, especially his guitar. His passion was riding his motorcycle and BSing with all his many friends at the bars. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and loved flowers. Family was very important to Hippy, and he loved spending time with them, especially his brothers Roger Marks, of Florida, and Jack Marks, of Cassville.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Donna Keener Marks; three children, Tina Harman, of Pursglove, John Marks, of Pursglove, and Phillip Marks, of Cabin Creek; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Marks, of Florida, and Jack Marks, of Cassville; several nieces and nephews; and his great friends his brothers-in-law, Moke, Joe and Rick Keener, and James Brown.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Anabelle Riffle and one brother, Billy Marks.
