Charles Richard Murray, 82, passed away peacefully at his home in Buena Park, Calif., March 12, 2021.
Charles is formerly from Morgantown, son of the late Ella and Elmer Murray, of Morgantown.
Charles was Methodist by faith. He retired as a machinist after 50 years. He enjoyed going to flea markets and talking to friends and family on the phone.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary Summers Murray — not only a wife, but a caretaker who stood by his side in times of sickness; two daughters, Judy Murray, at home, and Kristi and spouse Mike Pagan, of Buena Park, Calif.; son, Doug Murray and spouse, Kim; daughter-in-law, Jean Murry; grandchildren, Kyle, Jenna, Emily, Tori, Nichet, Tyson, Brian, Dewayne and Rebecca; and several great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by brothers, Raymond Murray and Peggy, Tom Murray and Ruth, Gilbert Murray and Cheryl and Wilbert Murray and Kathy; sisters, Norma Lee and the late Fred Deavers, Velma Hart and Paul, Eva Blosser and the late Leon Blosser, Charotte Tennant and Gary, Doris Deavers and Junior, and Barbara Jean Dalton and Paul; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Charles is preceded in death by a son, Marvin Murray; grandson, Cody Murray; and sister, Beulah Summers and spouse Howard.
Upon Charles’ request, cremation will be provided in Buena Park, Calif.
