BLACKSVILLE, W.Va. — The Clay-Battelle High girls’ basketball team took a big lead in the first quarter against Wood County Christian and never looked back in its 64-30 win Thursday, March 11.
Clay-Battelle (2-1) outscored WCC 26-8 in the first quarter, and led 37-17 at halftime.
“We took advantage of our post play tonight with lots of looks to the box and multiple points off of offensive rebounds. Our bigs showed up to play,” C-B coach David Joyce said.
Liv Ammons led the Cee-Bees in scoring with 15 points — hitting three 3-pointers — and Cam Watson added 10.
C-B will play again at 7 p.m. Friday, March 12, at Paden City.
