INWOOD, W.Va. — Brooks Gage could not be stopped Sunday afternoon for No. 5 Morgantown as he made a school record nine 3-pointers on the way to a 99-51 win over No. 9 Musselman.
The Mohigans played three games in three days against Eastern Panhandle schools, winning all three vs. Washington at home, and Martinsburg and the Applemen on the road.
“We had a good weekend and I’m proud of our guys effort,” head coach Dave Tallman said. “This is a great group of young men. We just need to keep working. Brooks Gage put on a show today.”
Gage finished with 31 points, while teammates Luke Bechtel (16), Carson Poffenberger (16) and Sha-Ron Young (14) also scored in double figures. It was a balanced scoring effort for the Mohigans, scoring at least 20 points in every quarter.
MHS will play at Wheeling Park at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
