Salvatore J. Mascioli Jr., husband of Matilda V. (Brogna) Mascioli for 63 years, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday Feb. 27, 2021.
He is survived by his children, Teresa Morris (Richard), Tore Mascioli (Cezanne), Carl Mascioli (Donna) and Lisa Caldeira (Carlos); 11 grandchildren, Anthony, Taryn, Taylor, Ryanne, Justin, Kyle, Kaleigh, Nicole, Connor, Carina and Vincent; and four great-grandchildren, Camden, Matteo, Matilde and Angelo.
Salvatore, originally of Morgantown, was the son of the late Salvatore and Teresa Santo Mascioli. Locally, he is survived by two brothers, Albert Mascioli and Carl Mascioli, both of Morgantown; and sister, Mary Ann Seibert, of Kentucky. Salvatore was preceded in death by brothers, Edward Mascioli, Victor Mascioli, the Rev. Father Joseph Mascioli, Matthew Mascioli and Paul Mascioli; and sister, Grace Margaret Gissy.
Salvatore served proudly in the United States Navy from 1951-56 and worked for Polaroid Corp. for 30 years. He enjoyed retirement for many years, playing golf, detailing cars, collecting coins, going to the casinos and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His most recent enjoyment was driving tandem in a NASCAR race car at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Services will be held at Saint Anselm Roman Catholic Church, 100 Landham Road, Sudbury, Mass., Saturday March 6, 2021. Services will be private and streamed online due to COVID compliance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Anselm Church or a local food pantry.
