Patricia “Patty” Marie Pape, 79, passed away on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, at Mon Health Medical Center.
Patricia, who loved to be called “Patty” by everyone who knew her well, departed her loving family on Feb. 19, 2021, after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
Patricia was born in Cumberland, Md., on Nov. 21, 1941, daughter of the late Frances and George McKinley.
Patricia was the mother to Trisha Trylch, her only child, whom she raised with love and devotion in Morgantown, with her late husband, James Milton Pape.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years along with several brothers, Buddy, Sonny and George McKinley.
She is survived by her daughter, Trisha Trylch; her only grandchild, Brandon Trylch; brothers, Gary and Bob McKinley; and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her only grandchild, Brandon Trylch.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Bharti, Dr. Lesnock, Dr. McBee and all the staff at Mon Health Medical Center who were instrumental in her care over the last five and a half years.
Friends and family will be received at Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church, University Ave., Star City, from 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at noon with Father John McDonough as celebrant. In accordance with Patricia’s wishes, cremation will follow.
