Virginia May Smith, 81, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021, at her residence. She was the daughter of Clark and Evelyn Dunn.
Virginia graduated from Morgantown High School in 1957 and then went on to graduate from Morgantown Business College the same year. She retired from WVU in 2001 as a secretary.
She enjoyed singing at various churches and gospel sings with her mother as well as going to yard sales.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert Duane Smith; her son, Gary E. Kiddy, of Fort Ashby; her daughter, Debra E. Adams, of Lawrenceville, Va.; sister, Emma Mayfield, of Fayetteville, N.C.; sister, Nancy Starkey and husband Allen, of Morgantown; sister, Donna Shaffer, of Morgantown; brother, Clark D. Dunn and wife Carmen, of Morgantown; brother-in-law, Donald M. Smith and wife Cathy, of Middletown, Md.; and sister-in-law, Patricia Hodom, of Charleston, S.C. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held with the requirement of all to wear face masks and practice social distancing. Interment will follow at Nicholson Cemetery.
