Mary Lynn Johnson, 76, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
The daughter of the late Charles and Helen Niedermyer, she was born in Moundsville on Feb 7, 1945.
For many years, Mary ran a successful catering business. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed puzzles, talking to people, baking, shopping and the beach. Full of joy and very selfless, she always put others first and always had one of her precious dogs by her side. Mary has left behind many beloved family and friends who will miss her dearly.
Mary is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert H. Johnson; her daughter and her husband, Melissa and Edward Kent; her son and his wife, Robert W. and Nicky Johnson; her grandchildren: Danielle Johnson, Celeste Cahill (Ryon Cahill), Tiffany Johnson (Bobby McCabe), Ian Kent (Amber Kent), Rachel Johnson (Cody Stiles), Blake Johnson and Isabella Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Kaileigh Johnson, Blake Arbogast, Alice Brumfield and Dixie Kent.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sisters, Donna Baker, Nancy Hutzky and Judy Ishleib; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bruceton Community Ambulance Service at P.O. Box 84, Bruceton Mills, W.Va., 26525 or to the Bruceton-Brandonville Volunteer Fire Department at 142 Union Street, Bruceton Mills, W.Va., 26525.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, is assisting the family with cremation services.
