WVU moves to all remote delivery for Morgantown campus until noon

MORGANTOWN — West Virginia University will move in-person instruction on the Morgantown campus online until noon Monday, Feb. 1, due to inclement weather and road conditions.

Classes already offered online and those in hybrid form will also continue as planned. Students on clinical rotations should check in with their program directors for additional guidance.

The remainder of the University, including most dining locations and COVID-19 testing, will operate on a normal schedule. Buses will start running at 10 a.m. at slightly reduced capacity.

WVU Dining Services locations — Which Which and Jazzamans at Cavanaugh’s at Health Sciences and Which Which at the Mountainlair — will operate on a delayed opening due to inclement weather. Waldo’s Chicken and Hugh Baby’s at Evansdale Crossing will also be affected. Follow @WVUDining on Twitter for the latest on modified opening times for these venues.

As stated previously, the revised spring calendar does not allow for any additional non-instructional days due to regional accreditation requirements and U.S. Department of Education guidelines.

When in-class instruction resumes this afternoon, if students cannot get to class because of adverse weather or road conditions, they should contact their instructors as soon as possible.

If faculty are unable to get to class, they are also asked to notify their students as soon as possible so that students do not embark on unnecessary travel.

Employees and students should use good judgment when traveling to work or class in inclement weather.

Employees should work with their supervisors to take annual leave or flex their schedule if they are unable to get to work. Supervisors are asked to be flexible and understanding with their direct reports if they are unable to make it to work.

WVU students and employees should watch for updates through a variety of outlets including:
