Cheryl Lynn Malone, 75, of Westover, passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at Mon Health Medical Center. She was born Nov. 2, 1945, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late David Thomas “Tom” Jackson and Dorothy Geraldine “Gerry” Newlon Jackson.
Cheryl had been employed by West Virginia University in the accounts payable department.
Cheryl loved to travel to Virginia, researching genealogy. She enjoyed crafts, knitting and crocheting. Cheryl also loved connecting with friends on social media and sending “Jib Jabs.”
Cheryl is survived by her son, Sean Malone, of Westover; one sister, Karen Jackson Sucher (David), of Belleville, Mich., three nieces Carrie Sucher, Laura Sucher and Jill Everingham, all of Michigan; and many cousins, other family and friends.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Malone.
Friends may gather at Pisgah Cemetery for a graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29. McCulla Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
