Stanley Kuzniar, 85, of Core, passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, at his home. Stanley was born in Jordan (Marion County), on June 7, 1935, a son of the late Stanley and Dorothy Barrett Kuzniar.
Stanley proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He graduated from WVU with a bachelor’s degree in dairy husbandry and later with a master’s degree of agriculture. Stanley worked as a fish processing supervisor in Alaska. He was also a member of the WV Farm Bureau.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Emma Montgomery Kuzniar; daughter, Christine Kuzniar, of San Juan, Puerto Rico; sons, Stanley Kuzniar, of Dallas, Keith Walter Kuzniar, of Virginia, and William Martin Kuzniar, of Core; sisters, Rebecca Rice, of Morgantown, Barbara Henderson, of Morgantown, and Anna Kuzniar, of Petersburg; and grandchildren, Tatianna, Natasha, Alexandria, Jeffrey, Natalie, Victoria, Hunter and Lucas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
Friends may gather at McCulla Funeral Home from 10 a,m-noon Friday, Jan. 8. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery with full military honors conferred by the WVANG, Camp Dawson and Westover VFW Post #9916.
