Gregory Lee Ramsey, 61, a resident of Morgantown, departed this life Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020, at Morgantown Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. A former resident of Sabraton Avenue, he had been in declining health.
He was born in Morgantown on Dec. 8, 1959, a son of the late Richard Lee Ramsey and the late Jean Louise Anderson Ramsey.
Greg attended Sabraton School and Junior High School. He graduated from Morgantown High School, where he was a member of the football team. He worked a few years before attending WVU. He graduated with a degree in mathematics.
Greg was employed in automotive sales in Pittsburgh, Waynesburg, Pa., and Morgantown. He later worked in auto parts sales.
He is survived by an aunt, Susie Anderson Boring, as well as cousins, Robert Anderson, Debbie Anderson McGinnis, David Anderson, Kevin Boring and members of the Ramsey family.
Greg was preceded in death by both parents, both sets of grandparents, many aunts and uncles and special cousin, Jean Anderson Knopp.
Honoring Greg’s wishes, cremation will be arranged by the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. There will be no visitation or service at this time. A memorial luncheon will be held at a later date after the COVID-19 pandemic.
