Doris June Mahaffey, 87, of Fairmont, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at Harmony at White Oaks, surrounded by her loving family. She was born
Nov. 22, 1933, in Burton, a daughter of the late Earl and Hazel (Bartrug) Freeland.
Doris retired as a bookkeeper from Steve Holbert, CPA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she was in the Woman’s Association. Doris was a past member of the BPW. She loved to go on vacation to the beach with her two daughters. Doris loved spending time with her family and friends.
Doris is survived by her two daughters, Elaine Tressler, of Fairmont, and Carole Mahaffey, of Fairmont; her grandson, Michael Allen Tressler, of Fairmont; her great-granddaughter, Isabella Tressler, of Fairmont; her brother, Gail Freeland, of Wana; her sister-in-law, Helen Suzanna Estep, of Fairmont; her cat, Fluffy; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stephen Mahaffey, who died on June 28, 1991; son-in-law, Mark Allen Tressler; and her brother, Gary Freeland.

11 a.m. Jan. 5, 2021 with the Rev. Valerie Gittings officiating.
