Virginia “Ginger” Wymer, 84, of Morgantown, passed away on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020 peacefully in her home. She was born on May 9, 1936, in Galloway (Barbour County), daughter of the late Robert Green and Rachel Belle Jones.
Ginger worked for over 40 years as a decorator at Davis Lynch Glass Factory. After retiring, she enjoyed her vacation home in Daytona Beach Shores, Fla, and traveling with her loving husband of 40 years, Walter Wymer. She also loved painting, drawing and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Rachel “Ramie” Friend and Shona Krolczyk, both of Morgantown; and grandchildren, Dominique Friend, Joshua Krolczyk and Noah Krolczyk, of Morgantown, and Emma Krolczyk, of Denver. She is also survived by sisters, Barbara Wymer, Pam Bowser and Shirley Smith, of Morgantown; and brother, George Green, of Carnegie, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings Kenneth Green, Ronald Green, Robert ‘Bo’ Green and Mildred Russell.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 10 a.m.-noon Monday, Jan. 4, 2021. If you choose to attend the visiting, please take all precautions required by the governor and CDC. Due to COVID-19, all services will be private and entombment will take place at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
