Linda Lou Harned, 77, of Kingwood, died on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Linda was born Nov. 3, 1943, in Kingwood, a daughter of the late Norman Boyd and Winona Mae (Hawkins) Harned.
She was a graduate of Kingwood High School and a past president of the KVFD Ladies Auxiliary. She worked as a deputy clerk for the Preston County Clerks Office and was a member of the Mill Chapel United Brethren in Christ Church. Linda loved spending time with her family and traveling.
She is survived by one son and spouse, Litt and Jodi Moore, of Fayetteville, N.C.; two daughters, Lisa R. Harned of Kingwood, Lynn R. Carr, of East Dublin, Ga.; two brothers and spouse, Tom and Linda (Phillips) Harned, of Kingwood, and Norman E. Harned, of Clarkston, Mich.; nine grandchildren and spouses, Justin and Courtney Knotts, Joshua Knotts, Tyler and Alex Knotts, Abbey Moore, Ashley Moore, Austin Moore, Carol Ann and Grant Joyner, Madison Carr and Victoria Carr; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, her son Leon R. Moore, and an infant child; and her sister-in-law, Eleanor (Bergman) Harned.
Private graveside services will be held at Maplewood Cemetery.
