Edward Eisentrout

C. Edward Eisentrout, 83, of Bruceton Mills (Hazelton community), passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, at his home on Eisentrout Road.
The son of the late James Wendell and Catherine Van Sickle Eisentrout, he was born July 25, 1937, in Selbysport, Md.

Ed was a member of the Hazelton Church and had served in the WV Army National Guard. He was a dairy farmer, a school bus driver and a member of the Woodmen of the World. He had been receiving loving care from his wife, family, and WV Caring (Hospice).

He is survived by his wife, Glenna B. Frazee Eisentrout; a son and his wife, Jim and Lori Eisentrout, of Bruceton Mills; two daughters: Donna Bittinger and her husband Jim, of Oakland, Md., and Nancy Eisentrout, of Morgantown; two brothers and their spouses, John and Connie Eisentrout, of Oakland, Md., and Sam and Marie Eisentrout, of Beaverdam, Va.; a sister and her husband, Katherine and Bruce Friend, of Umatilla, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Patrick and Whitney Eisentrout, Kelli and Justin Shaffer, Rebecca Eisentrout, Kevin Eisentrout, Sarah and Trent Mohler, Mark and Nicole Bittinger, Julie Bittinger and Amy Bittinger; five great-grandchildren, Colleen Eisentrout, Axl Eisentrout, Miles Mohler, Carson Bittinger and Katelyn Shaffer; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to welcome those who would like to attend a graveside memorial service at the Shady Grove Cemetery in Bruceton Mills at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, with Pastor Michael Bernard officiating.

The family requests memorial donations be made to WV Caring, P.O. Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520, or to The Shady Grove Union Cemetery, 4584 Hileman Road, Bruceton Mills, WV 26525.

Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills will be assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and for the safety of all concerned, face masks and social distancing are required.
