Iris G. Feather, 93, of Fairmont, formerly of Masontown, W.Va., passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020, at WV Caring Hospice Center in Elkins.
Iris was born in Tunnelton on Aug. 2, 1927, a daughter of the late Harley Goff and Etta Ellen (Hose) Goff.
She was employed by Greer Industries for many years where she worked in the office. She also assisted her husband “Jud” with their trucking business. After retiring, Jud and Iris moved to Florida to pursue their love of golf.
Iris is survived by her two daughters, Judy Freme, of Fairmont, and Nancy Jo Riley, of Clendenin; four grandchildren, Benjamin Michael Riley and Cindy, Mikaela Jo Canterbury and David, Kristopher Matthew Freme and Amy and Craig Patrick Freme; and three great-grandchildren, Josephine Olivia Canterbury, Carlee Jo Canterbury and Paige Canterbury.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Joseph Judson “Jud” Feather, and two sisters, Freda Cline and Edith Holmes
Due to this unknown time with the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a private service. The family realizes Iris was loved by many and looks forward to reading the condolences left on the Field Funeral Home website. Interment will follow in the Masontown Cemetery.
