Franklin Black

Franklin “Frank” Charles Black, 78, of Bluemont, Va., died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020, in Loudoun Health & Rehab, Leesburg, Va.

Mr. Black was born Sept. 26, 1942 in Morgantown, son of the late Frank Newton Black and Freda Agnes Kwiatkoski Black.

He is survived by his son, Jeff Black and his wife Lynn, of Charles Town: his daughter, Kelly Rae Curry and her husband Jeremy, of Bluemont, Va.; three grandchildren, Brandon and Blake Black and Caleb Curry; two stepsisters, Christine Martin and her husband John, of Culpeper, Va., and Lori Dodge and her husband Charlie, of Gore, Va.; a brother, Danny Black and his wife Kerry, of Fairmont; a sister, Lana Shale and her husband Rick, of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Faith Elizabeth Nigri Black.

He worked as an administrative specialist for the United States Geological Survey Agency and retired in 1993. Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and had a profound love of fishing and hunting. He also loved West by God and the Mountaineers. Services will be private.
