Margaret “Peg” E. Clovis-Chase, 95, died on Oct. 19, 2020, after a well-lived, full life.
Peg was born to Ralph and Esther M. Hill Ehrenfeld on Oct. 25, 1925, in Wilkinsburg, Pa.. She graduated from Shore High School in Euclid, Ohio, and from Flora Stone Mather College.
Morgantown was home to Peg for more than 58 years, during which she was a wife and mother, elementary school secretary, active member of the 1st Presbyterian Church, dedicated volunteer at the hospital, Christian Help, Habitat for Humanity and other charities, adult education instructor, trip coordinator for cross-country family camping trips and traveling companion extraordinaire for husbands, Jesse “Red” and John.
Peg leaves behind her children, Chuck Clovis, Kathy (Mike) Bealmear, and Ehren “Kim” Clovis (Rick Montalbano); daughter-in-law, Nina Bender Clovis; three much-loved grandchildren, Lindsay (Erik) Morrison, Ted (Atsuko) Bealmear and Seth (Leandra) Clovis; three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jackson and Callie; her older sister, Ruth Strahosky; and cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dr. Jesse Clovis and John G. Chase.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Sundale Nursing Home for caring for her, and especially for being her family for the last eight months. Your kindness will long be remembered.
A memorial service may be held at a later time, upon receipt of Peg’s cremains.
