Velvalene “Diddy” Pack, 90, of Cassville, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020. She was born on April 28, 1930, in Mooresville.
She was blessed with three children, Diana (Jim), Debbie and Frankie (Linda); nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, and her son-in-law, Bill. They are rejoicing because she joined them in singing praises to our King, Jesus Christ.
She was a member of Jakes Run Assembly of God Church. She attended there regularly until she was no longer physically able. She had many friends who loved her there and who counted on her prayers.
She loved to go places and do things. Anytime one of her family members would stop in, whether it was for a car ride, going to a gospel concert or just going out to eat, she was ready to go. The love of her family is what kept her going for so long.
The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for all of their care and compassion. Also, a thank you to her caregivers, who she loved like they were part of her family.
Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10. There will be a private service for the family at a later time and she will be laid to rest beside her husband at Olive Cemetery.
Face coverings will be required along with proper social distancing when attending the visitation and services.
