High Street (pictured above), the heart of downtown and Morgantown’s bar scene, was quiet at about 10 p.m. Tuesday — the first day that bars were allowed to reopen after Gov. Jim Justice lifted his earlier mandate shutting them down because of COVID concerns.
Steve Dudas (below) works the door at The Bank. Customers at the establishment are no longer required to order food with their drinks, and they are allowed to move around the bar freely, as long as they have a mask on — unlike when the mandate was in place.
