Pearl Leona (Simmons) Moats, 103, of Kingwood, died on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, at Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood.
Pearl was born Sept. 7, 1917, in Aurora, a daughter of the late Calvin and Myrtle (Lipscomb) Simmons. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She loved walking, her horses and being with her family.
She is survived by three sons, Clarence Moats, of Kingwood, Burt Moats, of Borgman, and Harvey Allen Moats, of Kingwood; two daughters, Margaret LaRue and Thelma “Sissy” Stonebreaker, both of Kingwood; 28 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Moats, in 1980; two sons, Richard Moats, Dewey Moats; five daughters, Nellie Ellen Moats, Geraldine Taylor, Bonnie Moats and Madaline Moats; four grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price St. from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9 and from 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, until the time of the service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Evangelist Ronnie Wiles Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kingwood.
