Morgantown Mall welcomes Apparition as the newest addition to the facility’s selection of entertainment options. Apparition is a multi-room haunted house designed to entertain and frighten guests.
The haunted house attraction will open at 7 p.m. today, and will operate from 7 p.m.-midnight Fridays-Saturdays and 7-10:30 p.m. Sundays.
Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to reduce wait and maintain social distancing standards at www.Appal achianWV.com. Ticket sales will also be available onsite.
In addition to Apparition, Morgantown Mall welcomed Appalachian Axe Co. in March and Appalachian Miniature Golf in August. Located in nearly 3,000 square feet near Dunham’s Sports, Appalachian Axe Co. features multiple axe throwing stations.
Individuals can pre-book a lane or walk in during normal business hours. Lanes can also be reserved for corporate and special events. Appalachian Axe Co. is open from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit https://appaxeco.com/.
Appalachian Miniature Golf course features a glow in the dark 18-hole course lit with black lights and is open from noon-7 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday-Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday.
Apparition and Appalachian Miniature Golf are joint ventures between Appalachian Innovations Founder John Tokarz and local event coordinator Jamie Summerlin.
Appalachian Innovations was founded in 2018 by John Tokarz who specializes in creating custom woodworking designs. In addition to Apparition and Appalachian Miniature Golf, Tokarz also operates Appalachian Axe Co. at Morgantown Mall, where many of his custom woodworking designs are featured.
“We are very pleased to welcome this variety of offerings to our customers. Apparition, Appalachian Golf and Appalachian Axe Company are great additions to Morgantown Mall,” said Felicia Posey, the mall’s general manager.
In the continued need to address COVID-19, the mall has implemented additions to the Code of Conduct, effective immediately and until further notice.
These additions include the following guidelines:
- Practice social distancing and stay at least six feet from other people.
- Covering your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover in accordance with state and local guidelines.
- Do not gather in groups.
- Adhere to each individual tenant’s COVID-19 policies.
- Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations, recommendations and mandates regarding COVID-19.
The Code of Conduct is posted at the center and available online.
Morgantown Mall’s disinfectant and cleaning practices will also continue many times per day, including periodically disinfecting areas most susceptible to the spread of germs. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer dispensers are located in highly trafficked areas and walkways for public use.
