WEST UNION, W.Va. — The Preston High girls’ cross-country team was the overall champions at the Doddridge County Invitational on Tuesday.
This is the third invitational in a row that the Lady Knights have won. Preston placed three girls in the top ten. Allie Martin was the individual champion with a time of 21:15, Abby Nolan finished fourth with a time of 22:08 and Chloe Stark was seventh with a time of 22:34.
The Preston boys’ team finished fourth overall at the invitational. The Knights had three runners in the top twenty. Lowell Cerbone was the meet runner-up with a time of 17:40, Will Farkas finished 14th with a time of 19:22 and Tyler Martin finished 19th with a time of 19:57.
Preston will compete again in the Bearcat Invitational in Grafton on Saturday.
