John Frederick Noss, 81, of Albright (Mt. Nebo community), passed away in his home Sept., 13, 2020.
The son of the late Earl R. and Nellie Guthrie Noss, he was born April 20, 1939, in Wellersburg, Pa.
John was a U.S. Army veteran and a graduate of Bruceton High School, Class of 1958. He was retired from Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore, and enjoyed woodworking, feeding the birds, riding his side-by-side and, most of all, his granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife, Kay M. Clark Noss; two sons, Steven Kent Noss, of Albright, and Aaron Neal Noss and his wife, Holly, of Abingdon, Md.; three granddaughters, Paige Nichole, Faith Ann and Jillian Elizabeth Noss; two sisters, Naomi Ringer, of Baltimore, and Shirley Evans, of Hazelton; a brother-in-law, Playford Clark; a sister-in-law, Diane, a brother-in-law, Bob Morris; sister-in-law, Carrie Noss; and a sister-in-law, Linda Noss.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard, Robert, Wayne and James Noss; brother-in-law, Bud Ringer; and a brother-in-law, Wayne “Buckwheat” Evans.
Graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Bruceton Mills (Pisgah) at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 with military honors provided by Preston County Honor Guard and WVANG Funeral Honors, Camp Dawson.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice in John’s memory.
