Marjorie Shaw

Marjorie “Margie” Lee (O’Dell) Shaw, 77 of Tunnelton, where she resided with her son Michael L. Shaw, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, at the Madison Rehabilitation Center in Morgantown.

Margie was born in Folsom (Wetzel County), on Aug. 26, 1943, to the late Willard and Josie (McIntire) O’Dell.

Margie was a homemaker, and enjoyed going to yard sales, watching her favorite soap operas, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful. She attended school in Wyatt (Harrison County).

Margie is survived by her three children: one son, Michael L. Shaw, who was her caregiver and resided with her, and two daughters, Jodi M. Winkler and husband Tim and Marlena K. Murray and husband B.J., of Worthington; one grandson, Christopher Murray and wife; three great-grandchildren, Carter, Shelly and Hunter Murray; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Linda Plum, and husband Dana; and special friend, Wendy Browne, whom she loved dearly. Margie was the last serving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Rowan, Betty “Jean” Ashcraft and Nancy Martin; and her companion of 15 years, Edward Rhoden.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price St. from 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020, until the time of the funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 7 p.m. with Pastor Wendy Browne officiating. Social distancing is required, and masks are requested. Rotruck-Lobb Crematory will provide cremation services following the service. Interment will be held following cremation at the Bethlehem Cemetery.
