Dolores Jean Morris Hockenberry, 86, of Wadestown, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020, in the John Manchin Assisted Living Center in Farmington.
She was born June 5, 1934, in Grant Town, a daughter of Edwin “Dick” Morris and Nellie M. Franks Morris.
Jean was a homemaker and a member of the Wadestown United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children, Brenda (George) Michael, David (Debbie) Hockenberry, Kathy (Wesley) Sheehan, Michael Hockenberry, John (Kathy) Hockenberry, Donna (Toge) Tennant and Tim (Michelle) Hockenberry; a brother-in-law, Raymond Stiles; grandchildren, Brian (Christy) Michael, Tara (Brian) Kurcaba, Justin (Amber) Morgan, Devin (Nicole) Tennant, Tayla (Josh) Thomforde, Cody Hockenberry, Jordan Hockenberry and Jarret Hockenberry; and great-grandchildren, Audrey, Faith and Brian Kurcaba, Spencer and McKenna Morgan, Astaire, Adelyn, Abel and Asher Thomforde and Kaitlin Sheehan and Kallie Tennant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life and best friend and spouse, Frank Hockenberry; a grandson, Trent Tennant; and a sister, Mary Lou Stiles.
The family would like to thank Jean’s caregivers, Emelia and Lori, of WV Caring Hospice, and the John Manchin Assisted Living Center for the care and love shown to Jean and her family.
At the request of the deceased there will not be any funeral home visitation or funeral service. Jean chose cremation as her method of disposition.
The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.
