MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Morgan Ryan registered a hat trick as the University High girls’ soccer team easily defeated Wheeling Central Catholic 7-0.
Emily Lattea also scored a pair of goals and Brooklyn Harker and Tali Sizemore had one goal apiece for UHS (2-0-0). Lizzy Edwards made four saves to register the shut out.
At halftime, University honored their six Senior players — Tristen Bright, Heather Brunner, Lizzy Edwards, Audrey Longnecker, Kate Neidermeyer, and Rachel Sampson.
“These ladies have been committed to the program since the day they got here,” said Coach Graham Peace. “I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done for us, and we know that they will go on and do terrific things in life. They’re great players, but even better people.”
The Hawks are scheduled to host Preston on Saturday.
