Richard Coleman

Richard Lewis “Richie” “Blu” Coleman, 41, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2020, at WVU Medicine — J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown as a result of injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Richie was born Aug. 17, 1979, in Morgantown, a son of Richard Coleman, of Morgantown, and the late Carolyn (Jefferson) Williams.

Richie is survived by his wife, Carrie McCauley Coleman; his children, Jolie Rose Coleman, Patience Meadow Coleman and Richard Lewis “Little Blu” Coleman; his stepchildren Rhyann, William and Landon Yaskoweak, Jada Mercer and Mollie Dalton; his step-granddaughter, Jourdyn “Bubbles” Jones; his siblings, Terrance “Terry” Jefferson and companion Melissa Pettigrew, Nicole Buffey and her husband Mike, Nina Jefferson, Justin Coleman, Danielle Hilling, Devona Coffey and Wendy Panzner ; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lewis and Patti McCauley; sister-in-law, Jessica Ullom; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was a truly kind soul who had a contagious smile that could light up a room and a calm demeanor that made you want to be in his presence. He was a loving dad to his children and father figure to his stepchildren.

Honoring the request of his wife, Carrie, there will be no services held.
