Fred James Lewis, 75, of Granville, passed away at his home on Aug. 24, 2020, with his family by his side. He was born in Morgantown on June 5, 1945, to the late Virgil A. Lewis and Virginia Creamer Lewis.
Fred served in the United States Army Reserves and later worked for the City of Morgantown as a firefighter. He attended the Granville United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed building clocks and model cars and was a collector of matchbox cars.
Fred is survived by his wife, Treva Scott Lewis; daughter, Sharon T. Pearce (Anthony) of Morgantown; son, Brian J. Lewis, of Morgantown; stepson, Bill Stiles (Stephanie), of Kingwood; and step-grandchildren: Garrett, Blake and Kyra Stiles, all of Kingwood.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his sister, Lana Lewis, and brother, Ralph A. Lewis.
The family wishes to thank WV Caring Hospice for the love and care shown to Fred and his family during his illness.
In honoring Fred’s wishes, McCulla Funeral Home has provided cremation services.
A memorial service will be held at Granville United Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30 with Pastor Jim Weber officiating.
