MORGANTOWN — Looking for fun and educational activities for your kids? Spark! Imagination and Science Center offers a series of kits that use hands-on science and arts activities to explore the world.
In the first two kits, kids can learn about bees and the sun through hands-on activities.
The Buzz about Bees kit teaches kids about the important role bees play in the ecosystem and what we can do to help. Projects include planting a bee-friendly garden, constructing a mason bee house and making a honeycomb candle. The kit includes everything to complete each project, except scissors and glue. Each kit also includes a bee pencil and bee eraser.
The Fun in the Sun kit has hands-on projects and activities that explore the sun. Create an art project from sunshine, make a “camera” using the power of the sun and explore UV light. The kit includes everything to complete each project, except scissors, tape and permanent markers, and each kit also includes a pair of neon sunglasses.
The Buzz about Bees and The Fun in the Sun kits are $20 per kit. Purchase two or more of the same kit in a single transaction and receive $5 off each additional kit. Spark! Imagination and Science Center members receive a discount.
