Walter Phillip “Butch” Bernoski Jr., 74, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 13, 2020.
Son of the late Walter and Carmela Bernoski Sr., he was born Sept. 11, 1945, in Morgantown.
Walter was a carpenter by trade and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed working on old cars and going to stock car races. Walter also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and dancing with his wife, but, most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Walter is survived by his loving wife of 53 years; Martha Ruth Bernoski; two sons, Walter Stacy Bernoski and Kevin Phillip Bernoski; a granddaughter, Lindsy Renee Bernoski; and one sister, Carmen DeHoalt. Walter was also a stepfather to Catherine Walker Bowsher.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Reed and Theresa Graef, and a stepson, Ronald Walker Jr.
Cremation services have been provided by the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.
