David Spence Kerrigan, 71, of Cheat Lake, Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
He was born Oct. 12, 1948, in Myersdale, Pa., a son of the late William Joseph and Kathleen Della (Spence) Kerrigan.
Survivors include his five siblings, Kathleen B. Kerrigan, of Morgantown, Suzanne E. Kerrigan, of Somerset, Pa., Victoria E. Wharton and her husband James, of Fairmont, Mary M. Herwig and her husband Randy, of Somerset, Pa., and Michael S. Kerrigan, of Cheat Lake; 12 nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and -nephews. He is also survived by his companion, Pamela A. McCauley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Nylene Kerrigan; and sister, Marguerite Forrest.
David was a 1966 graduate of Somerset Area High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a Master Carpenter and plumber. David was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a kind and loving brother and friend to everyone who knew him.
At David’s request, there will be no services held at this time. His request for cremation has been honored by his family. David will be honored by his family with a traditional Irish wake at a later date. David will be inurned at a later date in the West Virginia National Cemetery.
