WVU men’s basketball player tests positive for COVID-19

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The WVU athletic department announced Monday one men’s basketball player tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and entered a self-isolation period for 14 days.

Due to HIPAA laws, the player’s name was not released.

Voluntary workouts for men’s basketball players who tested negative for the COVID-19 virus begins July 6.

The school previously announced two football players tested positive, though both were asymptomatic.
