Johnny Frederick Baker, 79, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2020, at Mon Health. He was born Feb. 20, 1941, in Lake Lynn, Pa., a son of the late Harry Stanley Baker and Geneva Susan Bigler Baker.
Johnny was retired from WVU working at the physical plant where he received distinguished service recognition and employee of the month three separate times. He also worked for Wolf Lumber in Uniontown, Pa., Duntile Vault and Sterling Faucet. In his spare time, Johnny enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing.
Johnny is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rosella Averett Baker; one daughter, Marnitta (Steve) Smith, of North Carolina; one brother, James Thomas Baker; several grandchildren; and a niece, Karen (Jerry) Sanders, of Lexington, Ky.
Johnny was preceded in death by his son, John Stanley Baker.
McCulla Funeral Home was in charge of the private burial service at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
