Agnes Hovatter

Agnes Marie “Aggie” Hovatter, 70, of Fairmont, and formerly of Kingwood, passed away late Tuesday evening, June 16, 2020, at Mon Health Medical Center, in Morgantown.

Born July 3, 1949, in Kingwood, she was a daughter of the late Dallas and Minnie (Greaser) Hovatter.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Matthew Turner; grandchildren, Evan (Anjelica) Turner, Kasey Turner, Alexis Turner and Abigail Turner; and her siblings, Anna Catherine (Ed) Lightner and Joseph Hovatter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings George Hovatter, Elmer Hovatter and James Francis Hovatter.
Aggie loved to go on road trips with family and friends. She had a keen sense of adventure so that she could broaden her horizons. She was a strong and independent lady.

Friends may join the family to honor Aggie’s life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover/Morgantown from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 19, and at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, in Kingwood, at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 20, until 10:30 a.m., the time of the Mass of Christian Burial, which will be con-celebrated by Father Andrew Switzer and Father Biju Devassy. Following the Funeral Mass, Aggie will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, in Howesville.

While the family and funeral home understand that attending public services may not be in the best interest of some, those attending the funeral home visitation or the Funeral Mass will be required to wear a face mask unless a health condition prevents you from doing so, and to practice all proper social distancing guidelines as set forth by the CDC.
