Carrie Wallace, 94, of Morgantown, died Tuesday, May 26 at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 3, 1926, in Charleston, a daughter of Elsie Jackson.
Mrs. Wallace formerly worked as a clerk in the retail industry and in her free time, enjoyed fishing.
She is survived by her son, Cary Johnson, of Morgantown; a niece and nephew, James Early and Josephea Early Hamilton; and great-nieces, Rose Pleasant, Alice Turpin and Sally Burkes.
In addition to her mother, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Wallace; son, Frazier A. Johnson; and sister, Rosezina Willis.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation services have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Capital Fund at St. Thomas à Becket Episcopal Church 75 Old Cheat Road, Morgantown, WV 26508.
