Anthony Johnston

Anthony Robert Johnston, 29, of Grafton, passed peacefully at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital with his mom and dad by his side after a lengthy illness.
Anthony was born in Morgantown, on June 8, 1990, son of Kenneth Robert Johnston, of Trafford, Pa., and Charlotte (Whipkey) Johnston, of Morgantown.

Anthony had a deep faith in Jehovah God and studied the Bible throughout his life. He had a genuine smile and a loving heart that brightened everyone’s life who knew him. He was loved by many. He was a graduate of Morgantown High School in 2008.
He was a manager at Rooster’s in Morgantown when he fell ill. He loved cooking. His greatest pleasure was spending time with his twin turtles, Ayden and Cayden. He also loved his dogs and cat. He enjoyed sports and grew up playing baseball, basketball and soccer. He also performed with Gas Mask and loved his Juggalo Fam.

He is survived by his twin sons Ayden Robert Johnston and Cayden Andrew Johnston; his father Kenneth Robert Johnston and mother Charlotte Jane (Whipkey) Johnston; two sisters, Andrea Jane (Hall) Baer (Brett), of Grapeville, Pa., and Amanda Aimee (Hall) Wilson (Luke), of Moatsville, W.Va.; grandmother Judy (Fike) Schwarzel, of Delmont, Pa.; uncles, Jim Johnston (Kelly), Mark Johnston (Laura), Jamie Kromer, Donald Whipkey (Debbie); nieces and nephews, Leslie Brown, William Geier, Gunner Wilson, Trenton Baer, Sophia Baer, and his four-legged nephew Knucklehead; great-nephew, John Eisaman and cousins Dawn, Justus and Chloe Mollahan, Jordan, Emily, Kara, Nicholas and Hannah Johnston, and Jean Claude Stryffeler (Terri).

He was preceded in death by his grandparents James Richard Johnston, Darrell Whipkey, Velma (Martin) Whipkey, Kenneth W. Schwarzel, and his aunt Debbie Kromer.

In lieu of flowers, donations and condolences may be made to a fund being established for his two children, C/O Charlotte Johnston, 141 Tony Rundel Rd., Grafton, WV, 26354, or to his favorite charity, M-SNAP at P.O. Box 4335, Morgantown, WV, 26504.

Due to current health concerns, the family will schedule a celebration of life at a later date. Cremation services are in the care of Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.
