Charles Gamble

Charles Garnet “Bud” Gamble, 83, of Morgantown, passed Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at WVU Medicine — J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Bud was born Nov. 30, 1936, in Morgantown, and was a son of the late Garnet and Edith (St. Clair) Gamble.

Bud is survived by his wife of more than 35 years, Arlene Sharkey Gamble; three children, Debbie Mancini, of Morgantown, Charlie Gamble, of Pittsburgh, and Lisa Gamble, of Morgantown; stepdaughters, Marcie Hecker and her husband John, of Florida, and Kim Roy and her husband Gary, of Mt. Morris, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Steven Mancini and his wife Joy, Anthony Mancini and his wife Pam, Christopher Gamble and his wife Stacy, Christopher Mancini and his wife Jamie, Sara Gamble, Matthew Gamble and Allie Gamble; four great-grandchildren, Blake, Domenic, Vincent and Annamarie Mancini; one step-grandson, Michael Fioravanti; a sister, Kay Gamble Murray and her husband Art, of Morgantown, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Willard Ray Gamble, Gerald Keith Gamble, Donald Gene Gamble and Jack Lee Gamble.

Bud was a supervisor for Mon EMS and helped to build the PRT System in Morgantown. He was the self-proclaimed “Number 1 West Virginia Mountaineer Fan” and may have enjoyed a shot of Jack Daniels twice a year.

Bud’s request to have a private visitation followed by cremation is being honored by his family.
