John D. Swecker, 73, of Grafton Road, passed away April 17, 2020, at Ruby Memorial Hospital due to heart failure. He was born in Clarksburg on March 12, 1947, to the late William D. and Ruth Funk Swecker. He graduated from Philip Barbour High School Class of 1965. He was retired from WV Paging. He enjoyed antique farm equipment restoration, woodworking, motorcycling and cars. He was also an accomplished private pilot and a certified instrument flight instructor.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Winans Swecker; one daughter, Angela and husband Jeff Britton; and two granddaughters, Ayla and Gillian Britton, of Accident, Md.
