Martha Jane Winters, 96, of Morgantown, passed away at Uniontown Healthcare and Rehab Center on Friday, April 3, 2020. She was born in Canonsburg, Pa., Jan. 22, 1924, to the late Stanley Rhinehart Smith and Alice Jane McNary Smith.
Martha was a homemaker and cared tirelessly for the needs of her family. She enjoyed sewing, crafting and being a part of the Sugar Grove Presbyterian Church.
Martha is survived by her daughters, Susan Jane Williams, Patricia Kifer, Debra Bennett and Ellen Ritchie; sons, Robert Horne, James McCloud, David Winters and Michael Winters; and grandchildren, James Kifer Jr., Paula Kifer, Michael Winters Jr., Keith Bennett and Heather Ritchie.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Winters; daughter, Sharon Napier; son, Richard Horne; and a brother, James Smith.
Conforming with the guidelines set forth by the CDC during the COVID-19 pandemic, McCulla Funeral Home provided a private service for the family and burial took place at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
