A man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman and hitting her with a glass jar at an apartment in Morgantown.
Kyle B. Rocha, 27, is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault, malicious wounding and strangulation.
Morgantown Police officers responded to a Forest Avenue apartment for a reported sexual assault, about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a criminal complaint.
When they arrived, a woman told them Rocha physically forced her to perform sex acts, according to the complaint. She also said Rocha turned her around and sexually assaulted her.
Rocha’s alleged victim was bleeding from wounds on her face, and she said Rocha hit her with a glass jar that held a candle, the complaint said.
She was taken to the hospital by EMS for treatment.
Rocha is being held in North Central Regional Jail in lieu of $200,000 bond.
