Patients at Grafton City Hospital now have access to advanced cardiovascular care thanks to a new partnership with Mon Health Heart and Vascular.
“With Grafton City Hospital’s main focus on enhancing patient care availability within Taylor County and surrounding areas, this cardiology specialty clinic allows residents more choices and convenience of obtaining medical services in their local community,” said George Boyles, interim president and chief administrative officer at Grafton City Hospital. “I, along with the employees and medical providers of Grafton City Hospital, are extremely excited to have nationally recognized heart and vascular services available at this hospital for our patients.”
The new affiliation was created to advance cardiovascular care and better serve patients in Taylor County, according to Mon Health cardiologist Dr. Samantha Crites.
“I take pride in serving people from my home state, and am thrilled to be a part of expanding our heart and vascular services to Taylor County residents,” Crites said. “I look forward to continuing to care for West Virginians at Grafton City Hospital.”
In December, Mon Health Medical Center was nationally recognized by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) as the first hospital in West Virginia to earn an Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) with Electrophysiology Services (EPS) Accreditation for its expertise and commitment to treating patients with AFib.
According to Mon Health President and CEO David Goldberg, the new clinic will bring the same nationally recognized, advanced cardiac care closer to residents of Taylor County and surrounding areas.
“Our cardiac care team is committed to serving patients when and where they need it most,” Goldberg said. “We’re thrilled to establish new connections in Taylor County and expand this care to patients at Grafton City Hospital.
