Karen Leigh Johnson, 61, of Kingwood, answered the call of her Lord on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020 at her residence with family by her side. She was born April 13, 1958 in Greensburg, Pa., daughter of Mary Sapp Grimes, of Newburg, and the late Fred Grimes.
She graduated from Newburg High School, Class of 1976. Karen enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Kingwood Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Frankie Gene Johnson, of Kingwood; three sons, Matthew Johnson and Marguax, Aurora, of Colorado, Gregory Johnson, of Morgantown, and Kurtis Johnson, of Kingwood; and one granddaughter, Nora Johnson. In addition to her father, Karen was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Harris.
Family and friends will be received at Kingwood Church of the Nazarene, 125 Wellsley St. Kingwood, WV from noon on Saturday, Jan. 18, until the time of Celebration of Life Service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Brian Detrick, Pastor Michael Delligatti and Don Hayes officiating.
