LOST CREEK, W.Va. — Coltin Barr’s 22 points helped propel the Clay-Battelle High boys’ basketball team to a 67-46 win over South Harrison on Monday.
Barr led the Cee-Bees (9-1) in scoring. He also made three 3-pointers. Levi Carrico scored 14 points, and Seth Casino and Mojo Chisler each scored 10. Casino also made two 3-pointers. In all, Clay-Battelle made six 3-pointers in the game.
The Cee-Bees scored 27 points in the second quarter, which proved to be the difference in the game. After that, Clay-Battelle went into halftime with a 38-24 lead.
The Cee-Bees’ defense was solid — limiting South Harrison’s offense to make just 19 field goals and to score just 22 points in the second half.
Clay-Battelle will play again at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday against Paden City.
