Phyllis Eleanor Dalton Hart, 83, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, in the presence of her family at her home.
She was born April 16, 1936, in Morgantown, and was a daughter of the late Levi and Eva (McMillen) Dalton.
Survivors include her two children, Carol Murray and husband Doug, and Mark Hart and wife Tammy, all of Morgantown; daughter-in-law Charlene McMillen; four grandchildren, Amber Larew and husband Josh, Autumn Hart and fiancé Brian, Marcus Rigney and girlfriend Alexandra, Nicholas Murray and girlfriend Lindsea, and Chad McMillen and wife Tara, all of Morgantown; five great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Jameson, Ember (expected December 30th), Avery and Carson; and a sister, Lois Hart, of Morgantown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell James Hart; two sons David McMillen and infant Brian Hart; a grandson, Craig, and a brother, Keith Dalton.
Phyllis was a loving mother, “G-Mal”, sister and mother-in-law to her family. She previously worked for Morgan Shirt Factory and Colshire Industries.
Phyllis was a dedicated homemaker who loved working around her home, cleaning and making sure it was always impeccably kept. She attended The Lighthouse Cathedral on the Kingwood Pike.
The family would like to thank Dr. Darrell Saunders and his staff, the staff at Amedysis Hospice Care and Wilma Murray for their help and support.
Friends may join the family to honor Phyllis’s life and legacy at The Lighthouse Cathedral, 2803 Kingwood Pike, Morgantown, from 4-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, and at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. officiated by Pastor Jon Henry. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
