KINGWOOD, W.Va. — Preston remains perfect through the opening week of girls’ basketball action, defeating visitor Fort Hill, Md., 71-45, Friday night.
The Knights (2-0) were led by Tori Garlits with 14 points, followed by Michelle Thomas with 13 and Bre Spahr with 10.
Junior Alivia Appel paced the Sentinels (0-1) with 20 points.
Preston returns to action next Thursday when Buckhannon-Upshur travels to Kingwood. The Buccaneers played Lewis County Friday, but the score wasn’t available at The Dominion Post’s deadline. B-U has another game on Monday before taking on Preston: A home bout against Elkins.
