David Lloyd Howell, 81, of Kingwood, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at his home with family by his side.
He was born July 18, 1938, in Kingwood, a son of the late Dana and Bessie Wable Howell.
David was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was a member of the Pleasantdale United Methodist Church and loved hunting, fishing, storytelling and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. David was a foreman for Garbert Coal Co. in their strip mining operation.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Uphold Howell; his son, Sam Howell and wife, Cassie, of Tunnelton; his daughter, Marcia Howell, of Kingwood; his brother, Roger Howell, of Uniontown, Pa.; his sister, Phyllis Wilhelm, of Albright; and his grandchildren, Jacob and Emily.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Howell; and four sisters, Mary Lou Patterson, Betty Scott, Mary Hershman and Barbara Cuppett.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
