Larry Edward Uphold, 75, of Terra Alta, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019, at Pine Ridge.
He was born Jan. 15, 1944, in Preston County, a son of late Neil E. and Nina Sisler Uphold.
Larry served his county for 20 years in the U.S. Army. He worked as a Pepsi Route salesman, a clerk at the Tobacco Den and in the produce department at Foodland in Kingwood.
He is survived by special friends, Cheryl and Harry Hayes.
He was preceded in death his brother, Carlenton James Uphold.
Friends may call at Browning Funeral Home, in Kingwood, from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, with Pastor Sonny McNear officiating. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Preston County Honor Guards and the WVANG military funeral honors.
