Golda Lee Reed, 95, of Kingwood, passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday morning, Oct. 27, 2019.
She was born April 2, 1924, in Spencer, a daughter of the late Harold and Vera (Runnion) Boyles.
Lee was always a master of her art in caring for her family, loving others and doing so with a happy heart. She was a beautiful homemaker, cook, seamstress, upholsterer and artist. Her home was always a warm and inviting place for all to gather and she will be truly missed. Lee was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and she was known as mom or mamaw.
She is survived by her spouse of 73 years, Ed Reed; three daughters and spouses, Sherry and Raymond Rouzee, of Bridgeport, Terry and Steve Decker, of Reedsville, Kelly Reed, of Lake Wylie, S.C.; one brother, Harold Boyles Jr. of Williamstown; one sister, Dorothy Perkins, of Akron, Ohio; seven grandchildren and spouses, Jodi and Jay Jones, Brian and Monica Rouzee, Cody and Jen Rouzee, Andrew and Nicky Decker, Amanda and Nick Schmidle, Sarah and Brad Harris, Reed and Katie Bjorkman; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Grace Baptist Church, in Kingwood, at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, with the Rev. Michael Argabrite officiating.
Cremation services are under the direction of Rotruck-Lobb Crematory in Kingwood.
